Why should we pay any attention to someone who seems only to want to play fast and loose with the responsibilities he was handed—besides the fact that Donald Trump was elected by 77 million people to be President of the United States, many somehow convinced that he’d follow through on addressing the “kitchen table” issues he campaigned on, like high gas prices and food prices and drug costs and so on?
What some are realizing is that enough people voted for Trump because they thought he’d be able to secure some sort of financial panacea for the average Joe and Jolene, along with putting the Bible back in schools where it belongs and whitening the complexion of the country. You know—like it was in the 1950s or before.
Turns out that Trump is a singular yet vast human wasteland. He’s so self-involved that it’s beyond his capabilities to care about anyone who doesn’t bend the knee to him. He has no use for most human beings. He couldn’t care less about them. He continues to command the lion’s share of attention simply because of the office he holds.
He forgot his campaign promises a long time ago. What he says and does matters less and less, seemingly even as anger and offense increase. He’s pretty much already stood in the middle of 5th Avenue and fired salvo after salvo, and people in a position to do something about this have not blinked an eye as he withholds funding, denigrates one group after another, and expels the endless, rancid refuse he considers golden oratory.
More like intentional, purposeful blather and gobbledy gook.
