The forecast was for severe thunderstorms late in the day, and they arrived late afternoon, around supper time. Amazing sound—a sustained rumble, like one might hear in a bowling alley, only deeper. Fairly heavy rain but not much wind, which would seem to indicate we weren’t in the path of the most intense energy, which is ok– who needs property damage?
Anyway, we got some moisture. Looking forward to checking the rain gauge.
