Paul Krugman is sounding the alarm now. Rachel Maddow is always presenting some aspect of current events that makes one wonder how much longer we can survive as a nation. We’ve fallen quite far, and if Trump follows through on his threats to destroy the Iranian power grid and other infrastructure, as Krugman reminds, the USA will become one of the top villains in the world. And the once proud US military will become an accessory to the villainy.
When Donald rolled out the red carpet for Vladimir a while back, they probably talked about the finer points of what it means to be a despot: international law means nothing, and committing war crimes gets you a spot in an elite category of goons and monsters. Donald must have sat at the master’s feet and taken it all in and decided that’s the route he would go.
